In the final segment of each podcast, Stephen will rank the film, deciding which of his five shelves the title underconsideration is deserving of. Below is a breakdown of the ratings system.

Top Shelf

Reserved for the absolute best films. These are the must-see classics or personal favorites that stand out above the rest.

Just like booze, the best belongs on the highest shelf.

Second Shelf

Highly recommended and well worth watching.

Mid Shelf

Good films that have a few flaws or aren't quite as impactful, but still enjoyable and worth your time.

Fourth Shelf

Films that may have significant flaws or only appeal to specific tastes. Watch if you’re interested or a fan of the genre.

Bottom Shelf

​Films that you wouldn't recommend unless you're a completist or curious about every film in existence. These might be disappointing or just not very good.
